Russia, the European Union and NATO changed last Thursday.
Then last Thursday has turned many pages in the great books of history. Growing up in the European Union, it was acknowledged that there is no eternal peace.
A fundamental change in the European security order is under way, and that is when the rumble will take place. It is not yet possible to know what the situation will be when the war in Ukraine is sometimes over. However, Russia, the European Union and NATO have already changed.
When Russia occupied Crimea in 2014, European Union countries were not ready to impose borders on Russia. Now they are.
The speeches turned into deeds as Russia was isolated in an unprecedented way. Europe’s common defense also moved to the next level. For the first time in the history of the Union, EU countries decided to finance the purchase of arms and military equipment and to supply arms to Ukraine. Ukraine will be armed with almost half a billion euros from the new European Peace Facility.
