If there was ever a doubt that Matt Murdock was going to return to the MCU after the passage of “Daredevil” from Netflix to Disney +, this is no longer the case.
After the appearance of Charlie Cox in “Spider-Man: no way home”, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actor and Vincent D’Onofrio are set to return to the Marvel universe.this time through the series “Echo”.

This production follows a deaf superheroine played by Alaqua Cox. The character arrives as the adopted daughter of Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin.
“The Kingpin’s story is building for him to run for Mayor of New York City. Apparently, he will be wearing an eyepatch because he was shot in the head, a moment we saw in ‘Hawkeye’. Daredevil will seek out Jessica Jones for help,” says THR’s announcement about how it will be part of the plot.
D’Onofrio already appeared in the MCU canon in December, when he brought the villain back to life in “Hawkeye.” In fiction, he interacted with Maya López, Alaqua Cox’s character, who arrived as an ally of the Kingpin. Finally, she betrayed him and shot him. Although it was believed that she had killed him, everything indicates that he is still alive.
Last February, Cox told THR that he longed to reunite with D’Onofrio in the Marvel world again: I hope our worlds collide again because the things we’ve done in the past were fun. He is an amazing actor.”
Meanwhile, D’Onofrio told the outlet, in promos for “Hawkeye,” that he and Cox remain close and have had talks about returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
