Theoretically, the next installment of the franchise will pick up after the launch of UFC 5.
While the UFC franchise is moving forward with the latest UFC 4, EA has abandoned the development of another brand focused on boxing: Fight Night. Or at least it seemed, since this name, which was released for the last time back in 2011, resonates on the Internet one more time. In this sense, it is suggested that Fight Night will launch a new game in the future, but we will have to wait several years to see.
So they have said in VGC, from where they claim to have contacted a source closely related to EA projects. According to this anonymous person, the next Fight Night installment is codenamed ‘Moneyball’ and, although it is in an early development phase, has been temporarily paused to prioritize the launch of the next UFC 5, according to an alleged email sent by EA to his team.
In this sense, the VGC source affirms that the distributor did not want to divide its developers between two boxing titles, so the development of the hypothetical continuation of Fight Night has been paused. And unsurprisingly, EA did not want to comment around what they consider to be rumors and speculation, so we won’t know anything about the title until future confirmation, if that is the case.
Although the boxing franchise has stood still, EA continues expanding their titles around this sport with the UFC. And, leaving towards footballThe publisher is currently enjoying the success of FIFA 22, which has remained on the best-selling game charts since its launch in early October.
