L’E3 2022 would have been confirmed by ESRBthus denying the rumors about the cancellation of the event, which however should also be this year in exclusively format digital: the well-known leaker Tom Henderson claims it.
A while ago Jeff Grubb called E3 2022 a mess, saying the event could be canceled, but it appears that this hypothesis was avertedat least judging by Henderson’s statements.
“E3 will be an entirely digital event again this year, according to the emails that ESRB sent to the developers today,” wrote the leaker. “I think that belies the rumors about the cancellation. If that’s the case, I would expect an announcement shortly.”
The announcement of E3 2022 digitally only due to Omicron was made in January, just a few weeks ago, and the time to better organize the event between now and June should be sufficient.
That said, it is clear that the abandonment of major publishers and the concomitant rise of other summer shows has irreparably eroded the importance of the Los Angeles fair, which is experiencing its most difficult period.
