Mild temperatures at the beginning of the year and the ongoing pandemic led to losses at the Essen-based energy company in the first nine months of the current financial year. By Ralf Witzler, Euro am Sonntag
Nevertheless, the Eon figures for the third quarter of the year were not bad. The adjusted operating profit (EBIT) fell in the first nine months by 300 million euros to 2.7 billion euros and the surplus also fell by 200 million euros to 1.1 billion euros, but the management still sees the group on track and confirmed the most recently lowered annual forecast. The markets would recover faster than expected.
The energy company sees good opportunities for itselfto use the funding programs of the European Union and the federal government decided in the course of the Corona crisis for additional investments in the core business.
Recreation: The confirmed forecast indicates stabilization despite Corona. Investment programs could offer opportunities. Hold.
