E – commerce Amazon pays consumers compensation for defective products

Compensation is paid for, among other things, hair dryers that are not protected against electric shock.

American e-commerce Amazon says it pays customers directly for defective products sold by a third party using the Amazon online platform.

Compensation is paid in cases where the use of the products has caused personal injury or property damage.

The United States the consumer goods safety commission sued amazon in july to put pressure on the company to take responsibility for products sold on its platform.

Compensation is paid for, among other things, hair dryers that are not protected against electric shock. About 400,000 such devices have been sold.

Individual compensation can reach up to a thousand dollars (about 850 euros).
