This Sunday the Netherlands Cup Grand Final between the Feyenoord of the Mexican Santiago Giménez and the N.E.C. from the Rotterdam team's field, but he was stopped by a fire that appeared in the pit of the enclosure, which has caused
the evacuation of a section of the stands.
The 54th minute of the second half was played, where the tie at zero was maintained, when a great wave of black smoke rising from the pit around the Feyenoord pitch. It was at minute 55 when the match was officially stopped so that the venue could be evacuated and the fire attempted to be put out.

So far there is no official version of how the fire originated. The stadium was left under a large layer of smoke until fans of both teams began to light some flares to try to dissipate the smoke.
The match resumes
After several minutes of the fire department's work, The match was reactivated and play began from the minute it was paused.. The fire was controlled and actions are being carried out as normally as possible.
Even the break helped the Feyenoord team to get back in order because in the return of the match, just a few minutes later at 59' the goal fell that has them with a 1-0 lead, the score was the product of Igor Paixao.
The Mexican Santiago Giménez remains in the game but so far he has not been able to get on the scoreboard.
