The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, responded to the accusations against the social network of the former CIA officer Edward Snowden, who said that the messenger does not fight fake accounts. Durov posted his comment in Twitter…
Durov said that Snowden’s fake account, the existence of which a former CIA officer complained about, appeared about a week ago. However, the account has not been verified.
The founder of Telegram assured that the administration of the messenger did not ignore the activities of the account – the company did not know about it. “All you had to do was write to the Telegram support service,” Durov turned to Snowden. He also added that the fake account of the ex-employee of the American special services was marked as fake and removed from the search results, like other similar channels.
Snowden previously posted a screenshot of a post from his fake messenger channel. “Telegram knows that this account is a fake and that I do not have an account in the messenger. But they still allow this guy to post crazy rubbish, including the swastika, which has already been seen over 80,000 times, ”he wrote. The ex-CIA officer also said that Telegram representatives deliberately ignored the fake channel.
