The founder of the Telegram messenger and the VKontakte social network, Pavel Durov, criticized the iPhone 12 Pro. In his words, the new smartphone of the American company Apple is an “outdated piece of hardware”. In his channel he foretold corporate problems in the future.
“Just tried the iPhone 12 Pro — what an incredibly outdated piece of hardware. It looks and feels like an enlarged version of the iPhone 5 from 2012, only with ugly cameras crawling out from the inside at three different levels, ”the businessman said. The device left him with the impression of an outdated device.
Durov believes that the company exists only because of the technology and reputation of Apple founder Steve Jobs, who died nine years ago, and does not innovate.
The head of the messenger added that he was not surprised that iPhone sales fell 21 percent this year. “If the trend continues, then in 7-10 years the share of their smartphones in the world market will be insignificant,” concluded Durov.
Earlier, Durov warned iPhone owners why they should be concerned about Apple’s policy, according to which developers of applications for the AppStore must pay a 30 percent commission. He named seven reasons why Apple smartphone users should be concerned about the “tax” the corporation levies.
Durov has repeatedly opposed Apple, as well as another American company, Google. He accused corporations of total control over which applications billions of users around the world can install on their phones. In his opinion, the two companies, in fact, collect taxes from all of humanity.
