The United Kingdom on Thursday banned arrivals from all South American countries and Panama, in addition to Portugal, “given its close travel ties with Brazil,” due to the new coronavirus strain found in the Amazon Brazilian.
Arrivals from those countries will be prohibited from friday “At 04:00 (1 am Argentine time) as a result of the evidence of a new variant in Brazil,” Transport Minister Grant Shapps announced on Twitter.
