Ducati is preparing for a historic debut in the MXGP World Championship with Tony Cairoli. The nine-time world champion will race in Holland with the Desmo450 MX, the bike that will compete in the MXGP World Championship next year and will go into production, marking the entry of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer into the specialist off-road segment.
The Dutch Grand Prix, which will be held on 17 and 18 August on the Arnhem track, is an important step in the development of the Borgo Panigale bike, in view of participation in the entire Championship in 2025.
The development program of the Desmo450 MX will continue on August 31st and September 1st in Castiglione del Lago, the fifth race of the Italian Championship, where Alessandro Lupino leads the general classification with two rounds to go after the brilliant results obtained in the last round of the Italian MX Championship in Ponte a Egola.
In the Tuscan race, Cairoli, on his return to racing, won the first heat and Alessandro Lupino, taking the overall title, took the lead in the championship, thus confirming the level of competitiveness already achieved by the Desmo450 MX.
