The Dubai authorities will shorten the validity of the PCR test for tourists from a number of countries, including from Russia, from 72 to 48 hours. This is reported on website Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
According to the Emirates and flydubai mailing list, entry rules will be tightened from February 3, 2022. The document with the results of medical tests must be submitted in English or Arabic.
Space Travel confirmed this information, noting that a number of air carriers have previously required PCR tests made 48 hours before departure.
ATOR added that the rest of the rules for entering the emirate remain the same – upon arrival, tourists must retake the PCR test and go into self-isolation until the results are received.
Earlier in January, Abu Dhabi changed the entry rules for foreign travelers due to the spread of the omicron strain of coronavirus. Now tourists wishing to avoid quarantine are required to present a certificate of the introduction of a booster dose. Those who have two shots against COVID-19 are no longer considered fully vaccinated.
