Finally, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, in cooperation with its approved driving institutes, has started preparing and qualifying lecturers affiliated with these institutes to train and qualify motorcyclists working in the field of delivery of orders in the emirate.
The authority supervises the training of these drivers in accordance with the training course that has been prepared and approved in coordination with the concerned authorities.
This initiative comes within the framework of the authority’s endeavor to achieve the highest standards of safety and security on Dubai’s roads, and within an integrated project to regulate the work of delivery companies and electronic media facilities operating in the emirate
The education institutes accredited by the authority undertake the process of qualifying drivers to work in this vital sector. The training course contains basic axes that clarify the obligations and procedures to be followed by drivers to ensure their safety and the safety of society and to avoid violations resulting from their failure to comply with the applicable rules and requirements.
Among the main themes of the training course (the legal responsibilities of the driver and traffic and traffic laws related to the driver – the causes and statistics of traffic accidents – how to deal with various driving conditions – how to act in the event of traffic accidents and with emergency vehicles) and the course includes an assessment of the drivers’ knowledge at the end.
