The Dubai Courts have adopted a new travel mechanism within the Personal Status Implementation Section that allows the custodian and custodians to obtain permission to travel outside the country easily and conveniently.
Salem Mohammed Al-Misfri, Head of the Personal Status Implementation Department at the Dubai Courts, said: “This step confirms the Dubai Courts’ commitment to flexibility and rapid response to the requirements of customers, as the previous mechanism required the judges to issue a decision to allow the plaintiff to travel, and after the sponsor’s approval, an exception letter is sent to the Investigation Department.” And the Criminal Investigation Department to temporarily cancel the travel ban, indicating that this process faced many comments from customers due to the delay in the message reaching the Investigation Department to activate the temporary permit, which hinders their crossing of the country’s border crossings.”
The new mechanism requires that the travel ban be permanently canceled after the sponsor’s approval, which makes it easier for customers to enter and exit the country without any obstacle. This process has contributed to accelerating the procedures for canceling the travel ban in the system immediately after it is signed by the judge, which enhances customers’ satisfaction and confidence in the judicial system.
Al-Musfri explained that the new mechanism is in line with government trends aimed at improving services and saving time and effort for customers.
