Dubai Charity Association has launched a humanitarian initiative consisting of a fully equipped car to distribute cold water, juices, ice cream and fruits for free, as part of its seasonal summer campaign “Let’s relieve the heat of the summer”, with the aim of reducing health risks to individuals and labor gatherings, such as dehydration and heat stress associated with high temperatures across Dubai.
Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, said, “The launch of this car is an extension of the qualitative initiatives undertaken by Dubai Charity inside and outside the country, and embodies its interest in human life, health, and protecting people from natural factors and their repercussions, and preserving their human dignity, in light of the rising temperatures worldwide, as a result of the global warming phenomenon that has led to climate change and a rise in the temperature of the Earth’s surface.”
The Executive Director of the Dubai Charity Association added: “We thank all contributors, donors and partners who support this humanitarian initiative, which promotes the values of solidarity, compassion and giving, and embodies a high sense of social responsibility by the partners, and expresses the strength and authenticity of the Dubai and UAE community in its ability to do good, and present to the world a model to be emulated in cohesion, solidarity and care for all its members, which establishes the principle of social solidarity among various social segments.”
The Dubai Charity’s refrigerated car will tour the Emirate of Dubai daily to distribute cold water, juices, ice cream and fruits to workers, especially in outdoor areas, to relieve the heat, put a smile on their faces, raise awareness of the dangers of heat exhaustion, and encourage them to drink plenty of water and cold juices to compensate for the lack of fluids in their bodies during the summer.
The Dubai Charity Association launched its seasonal summer campaign for the year 2024, under the slogan “Let’s relieve them of the summer heat”, including dozens of humanitarian and charitable projects targeting needy families, deserving groups, and workers inside and outside the country, such as providing water to worshippers, workers, and needy families, providing air conditioners, home refrigerators, fans, and providing water coolers and tanks, in addition to well-drilling projects of all kinds in countries and regions suffering from drought.
