The Emirate of Dubai is preparing to celebrate the 50th National Day of the country to offer its residents and visitors many events, entertainment activities, concerts and promotions, during the period from 2 to 11 December, within the festive atmosphere experienced by the country on the occasion of the golden jubilee of its founding.
The festivities – which coincide with a long weekend – highlight the best that Dubai has to offer, with national parades and world-class entertainment events at some of the city’s most popular attractions and destinations.
Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said, “The celebrations of the golden jubilee of the UAE reflect the renaissance, progress and innovation that our beloved country has witnessed over the past 50 years. The set of events and activities that the public can enjoy in Dubai within the celebrations of the 50th National Day includes the “Beach Canteen sponsored by Etisalat”, which will be held from November 25 to December 11, to provide 17 days of delicious food, live artistic performances and interactive activities for children of all ages. MBC’s two-day concerts, hosted by a selection of singers from the UAE and the Middle East, and “fireworks shows” that will illuminate the sky of Dubai for two days, where the city’s residents and visitors can head to The Point, Atlantis, The Palm, Bluewaters Island and Beach Canteen sponsored by Etisalat on Jumeirah Beach behind Sunset Mall, La Mer and Burj Al Arab to watch the amazing fireworks shows on December 2 and 3 at 8, 8:30 and 9 pm.
The celebrations include a set of “heritage performances”, where the “Al Ayala” and “Al Harbiya” teams are preparing to present their heritage shows in various parts of Dubai, starting from the 2nd to the 11th of December.. Dubai residents and visitors can watch these live performances in the “Al Khawaneej Walk” and City Center Mirdif, The Dubai Mall, City Walk, Nakheel Mall, Dubai Festival City Mall and Beach Canteen sponsored by Etisalat.
Shopping malls and retail destinations in Dubai such as The Dubai Mall, Nakheel Mall, City Center Mirdif, City Center Deira, Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Outlet Mall offer discounts ranging from 50 to 70 percent on selected products. Until December 13 on the occasion of the 50th National Day in addition to food and beverage offers, hotel offers, outdoor offers and more.
Social distancing will be implemented for the audience of these events as safety is a top priority even during festive times.
