Francesco Bagnaia he was involved in an accident without consequences while on holiday in Ibiza during the long summer break of the MotoGP which will only be back on track on Friday 5 August at Silverstone in Great Britain. The Ducati rider ended up in a ditch after a roundabout while he was behind the wheel of a car without involving anyone in the accident and his alcohol content was higher than what is allowed by Spanish law. Pecco through social media has publicly apologized for the episode inviting everyone not to follow his example.
These are his words: “Yesterday was I was in Ibiza with my friends for a party during this MotoGP hiatus. We celebrated together by toasting my victory at the Assen GP. At the exit of the nightclub, around three in the morning, while facing a roundabout, I ended up with the front wheels in a ditch without involving other vehicles or people. However, the police check of the alcohol content found that I had drunk more than is allowed by Spanish law. I am very sorry for what happened: I am practically a teetotaler and it was one severe lightness, which was not supposed to happen. I apologize to everyone and I can assure you that I have learned my lesson. Never get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. Thank you”.
