Francesco Bagnaia he returns to win a Sprint race on Saturday in front of his home crowd at Mugello and recovers 12 points from Jorge Martin, who crashed while in third position. Previously the world championship leader had come into contact with Enea Bastianini after a very forced braking on the inside by the Italian driver, who ended up on the ground in the contact between the two after Martin’s trajectory crossed (the stewards established that there is no responsibility for what happened).
Thanks to today’s success, Bagnaia drops to 27 points behind by Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez also remains well connected to the ‘Pecco-train’ thanks to today’s second place, yet another in a Sprint. Pedro Acosta completed the podium, also ‘season ticket holder’ on the third step of the podium in Saturday’s races.
Franco Morbidelli he returns to breathe the air of the high rankings by placing a good achievement with fourth place ahead of Maverick Vinales, Brad Binder, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Alex Marquez and Aleix Espargarò who complete the points zone.
