the terrible find
The truck with the bodies of the migrants was found Monday night by the United States immigration authorities operating in the area of the border with Mexico.
According to local media, the truck was located in an area that appears to be a regular stop for vehicles carrying groups of illegal migrants to the United States.
The migrants traveled overcrowded and the high temperatures inside the vehicle would have caused his death.

At first, the authorities rescued 46 bodies and managed to get 16 people out alive, but the health conditions of the victims led to the death toll rising to 51.
“The patients we saw were burning to the touch, suffering from heat stroke, heat exhaustion, as there was no sign of water in the vehicle”, said Charles Hood, fire chief for the area.
Among the deceased, it has been possible to identify 27 Mexicans, 14 Hondurans, seven Guatemalans and two Salvadorans.
The first versions indicate that the tragedy was caused by human traffickers who exploit migrantsas stated by the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
What is known about the truck driver
The first captures for the tragedy began this Wednesday. The Mexican authorities announced that they captured Homero Zamorano, identified as the driver of the truck in which the migrants died.
According to authorities, the driver was identified thanks to a photo in which he was seen posing and smiling at a border patrol checkpoint a few hours before the fateful event.

The versions also suggest that the man pretended to be another victim to evade the authorities and he claimed to be one of the truck survivors so as not to be arrested.
The man was captured near the area where the vehicle was found and, according to the authorities, he would have driven drugged. At the time of his arrest, he was drugged with methamphetamine, for which he had to be treated in a hospital.
