A mexican caused a stir on social networks after one of his videos went viral surfing while wearing a huipil. Is about Patricia Ornelaswho through a video published on TikTok, he showed off two of his great loves: surfing and his culture manifested through his traditional clothing.
“Representing my culture with great pride and love in what I am most passionate about. Being Mexican makes me proud and makes me feel privileged to have been born in these lands,” the young woman posted.
He video in question was recorded on La Saladita beach, located in the mountains of Guerrero. However, several videos appear on Ornelas’ social networks where you can see her skill and ability to dominate the waves; however, the images with the huipil detonated a series of positive comments.
“She doesn’t want to dominate the wave, she subtly dances with it… The beautiful bronze race!!!” wrote one user.
“In Puerto Escondido that’s also how they surf, with their typical costumes,” commented another TikToker.
“What a glamorous, subtle, elegant and cool way to master the board, which makes it look so easy while the sea coordinates with your skill,” mentioned another user.
It is worth mentioning that Patricia Ornelas is a Mexican surfer originally from El Tibor, Guerrero. Currently, she resides in the community of La Saladita to be closer to the beaches where she can practice and perfect her surfing techniques. Much of her exploits are usually shared on her social networks, where she has a community of 80 thousand followers.
