A professor was injured: what happened
An episode of violence brutal incident occurred today, Wednesday 24 April, at the 'Luigi Galvani' high school in Milan. A 15-year-old student showed up at school with a so-called white weapon, a blade specifically, threateningly asking anyone he met if he had seen a specific teacher.
His intentions, according to what has been reconstructed, were to carry out aaggression or in any case an act of intimidation for the teacher. Fortunately, the timely intervention of two teachers present in the institute made it possible to stop the boy and disarm him.
In the scuffle, one of the two professors remained wound and had to be transported to Niguarda hospital. However, his condition does not cause concern, as confirmed by the emergency room doctors who immediately assigned him a green code. The wound was not considered to be of a worrying type.
Meanwhile, the 15-year-old, after having attempted to escape, was tracked down and arrested by the police on charges of resisting a public official. Initial investigations revealed that the young man was already known within the institute for his agitated and disruptive behaviour, displayed both towards the professors and his classmates during lessons.
The episode was arousing great apprehension in the school and among the students' families. The institute has issued a communication to reassure the school community and confirmed maximum collaboration with the police to reconstruct the facts and guarantee the safety of all students and staff.
Today's attack represents in some way yet another sign of a worrying area, the educational one, which highlights the need for a greater commitment by everyone, institutions, families and schools, to prevent episodes of violence and promote respect and collaboration among young people.
