Capcom has announced a new sales milestone for Dragon’s Dogma 2. The open-world action RPG has now surpassed 3 million players, which means it has sold over that 3 million copies given that the game is not present in subscription services.
The information – as you can see below – was shared via Twitter byofficial Dragon’s Dogma account.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 communication and previous results
As you can read below, the Dragon’s Dogma Twitter account wrote: “Thank you to the three million Arisen who began their adventure in Dragon’s Dogma 2! We are grateful for your continued support.” The message is then signed “The Dragon’s Dogma 2 team”.
Accompanying the tweet is an image which shows a road towards a city and a series of writings, one of which is on a banner that reads “3,000,000 thanks from the Dragon’s Dogma 2 team”.
These three million players is an upgrade over the previous result, or 2.6 million copies, dating back to the beginning of May. During the month of April it hadn’t sold much (only 100,000 copies) but it seems that during May the game got a new boost, perhaps also thanks to some discounts.
Capcom is normally able to sell its games over the months and years and has already confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma is now to be considered a “key brand” of the company. Who knows if this means that new chapters are expected soon.
