Sales of Dragon's Dogma 2 they certify the great success achieved by the game already in this first period after launch, perhaps even above Capcom's expectations, considering that the company decided to increase profit estimates for the fiscal year than previously expected.
In a statement published today, Capcom reported its intention to increase net sales estimates by 8.9% compared to what was previously communicated, thus reaching 152 million yen and also increasing net revenues by 8.3%.
The reasons behind this sharp increase in profit forecasts for the fiscal year are precisely the sales of Dragon's Dogma 2 and also of Street Fighter 6with both titles driving Capcom's finances in a notable way.
Street Fighter 6 is also doing well
Dragon's Dogma 2 was “welcomed with enthusiasm globally,” Capcom reported, while Street Fighter 6 is having “favorable performance” on the sales front, although there are no more precise communications at the moment.
It's not just these two titles, however: “sales also grew with regards to past catalog of the major serieswhich continue to enjoy stable popularity”, added the publisher, and all these elements have contributed to increasing the forecasts for the current year.
No updated sales figures have been provided, so we remain with the fact that Dragon's Dogma 2 sold 2.5 million copies in less than two weeks, while Street Fighter 6 had reached 3 million copies sold last January.
