Thanks to an interview granted by the development team of Dragon Ball Sparkling! Zero granted to two French content creators, numerous new features have arrived on the new fighting game in the Budokai Tenkaichi genre, including roster information it's a possible exit period.
Starting from the latter, producer Jun Furutani states that there is not yet an internal date set in stone, ensuring that the development team is not rushing the work with the risk of publishing an incomplete game and predicting that the launch could take place between the end of 2024 and the beginning of next year.
There was also talk of the possibility that the Split-screen local multiplayer will not be available at launch, due to problems encountered with Sony and Microsoft that complicated its implementation. The developers are working on a solution, well aware of the community's request, but they cannot guarantee anything in this regard.
The good news is that there won't be one missing Story modewhich according to the information shared will be an heir and an evolution of that of Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
Also on the roster are fusions, GT characters and from the films
As for the roster, which should be made up of 164 fighters (here are all those confirmed so far), Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will include fusions (like Gogeta and Gotenks), fighters from the movies and some Dragon Ball GT charactersalthough at the moment it is not clear whether the latter will be part of those present at launch or whether they will be introduced later with DLC.
Furutani added that the game has improved graphically compared to the first trailers published and that during the course of 2024 we will see further gameplay footage. Other details concern the characters' clothes, which will gradually deteriorate as they take damage and the clashes will be longer compared to previous Budokai Tenkaichi.
We remind you that Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
