Takehiko Inoue, author of Slam Dunkis the next artist to take part in the tribute series organized by the Shueisha publishing house for remember Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ballwith an original themed production arriving in the next few days.
Following the tragic death of Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball Super series is currently on pause, although Toyotaro and the other authors intend to continue it in the next period, but in the meantime Shueisha has organized the iSuper Gallery initiative, i.e. a series of tributes on the author and the series in question by various artists, which in the next round will therefore host a work by Inoue.
Two mangaka of great importance
This is a particular event, because it brings together two artists who had a great influence on popular culture through their manga in periods not very distant from each other, especially for those who followed these works in Italy.
We still don’t know what it is exactly, but it should be one or more illustrations, done in Inoue’s typical style but focused on Dragon Ball, to be used as covers for the manga, similar to what other artists have done previously. within the same initiative.
The author of Slam Dunk, a manga/anime which was recently remembered with the feature film The First Slam Dunk, is in fact one of the many manga artists who took part in the tribute initiative organized by Shueisha, which previously hosted works also by Masashi Kishimoto, Tite Kubo, Hirohiko Araki and Toyotaro.
