That brings us to the reveal of a new DLC for the title, which includes two protagonists from the franchise. Double Dragonwhich had been requested by fans of the Beat Em Up games, so now there will be a couple more avatars to continue controlling the neighborhood of miscreants.

GO BROTHERS! We're thrilled to announce that iconic stars of the Double Dragon franchise, Billy and Jimmy Lee, are joining the playable cast of the open-world game River City Girls 2 as downloadable content! These legendary martial artists are leaving their dojos and will take to the streets of River City on all platforms the game is currently available for, including Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series via Steam. This premium DLC is expected to arrive this summer.
Originally debuting in the 1987 hit arcade game Double Dragon, Billy and Jimmy Lee (not to be confused with Bimmy and Jammy) have been two of the most requested playable characters in River City Girls 2 since the game's debut. The twin brothers spring into action as distinctive fighters, each with a devastating arsenal of punches, kicks, throws and special attacks, including signature moves from their past adventures such as the spinning cyclone kick, knee lifts and more. Both characters are also fully integrated into River City Girls 2's story mode, fully voiced by voice actors Dan Avidan (Billy) and Arin Hanson (Jimmy) of Game Grumps. The DLC also adds an epic new vocal song performed by Hanson and Avidan (with music by series composer Megan McDuffee), plus a new dojo master who replaces Billy and Jimmy while they're busting heads.
The DLC is planned to debut this year, and will also include a free update, which will offer an all-new comic-themed motion comic. Double Dragon, two new stores, new accessories and more. The developers emphasize that new information will be revealed soon.
