After tackling the 2008 financial meltdown and the career of US Vice President Dick Cheney in his two previous films, The Big Short and Vice, Adam McKay is back this time with Don’t Look Up.
With Don’t look up, the filmmaker introduces us to two astronomers (Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio) who discover a giant comet heading for Earth. During the plot, they will seek to be heard, amid the disinterest, power and mockery of the people around them.

The movie takes us to see many familiar faces, taking Meryl Streep as the President of the United States. It would be her that would cause a conflict to DiCaprio, who spoke with Mckay about one of the scenes that the actress would have.
In conversation with The Guardian, McKay talked about Meryl Streep’s ‘nude’ in Don’t Look Up. The director shared that it was actually due to a body double, but also how he was questioned by the Oscar winner for filming said scene.
“Yeah, it’s a body double on the tape, but do you know what was wrong with this sequence? Leo. He sees Meryl Streep as movie royalty, as a special figure in the history of the industry. He didn’t like the idea of having her like this in the film. He said something to me like, ‘do you really need to show this? Should we film it? ‘ And I said, ‘It’s President Orlean, it’s not Meryl Streep on screen.’ She didn’t even blink when she read the script, ”he shared.

Basically, we must go to one of the post-credits of Don’t look up. Before the comet hits the earth, a group of millionaires escape in a ship. When they arrive on a new planet, they all come out of the cryogenization chambers and appear naked. Former US President Janie Orlean, too. When she begins to explore her surroundings, a creature surprises her and attacks her.
