The official nature of the addition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will join the Formula 1 world championship starting from 2023, has brought the number of races that will be hosted in the United States in the next season to three, with the test in the capital of the game that will add to those already present of Miami and Austin. In this way, therefore, no other nation will host a similar number of F1 events within its borders, with a figure that, however, contrasts with that of the drivers represented.
At least for the moment, in fact, on the starting grid there is the total absence of US pilots. For this reason, the President and CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicalidid not hide the importance of a stars and stripes driver enrolled in the championship: “It’s important, but his talent has to be real – explained the manager from Imola during the press conference for the presentation of the Las Vegas GP – it matters because, of course, people make a difference. They are the protagonists. They all connect with faces, and it’s something that is always a point of reference, as long as it’s real. From a commercial point of view – he added – of the organizer and promoter, who want to develop the business in the United States, a female or male pilot would be very important“.
