The 3DJuegos team recently interviewed Sangyoung kim, the animation director of the Pearl Abyss studio. We spoke with him about DokeV, the next MMO of this company, and he shared his vision regarding the balance of gameplay and graphics presented by this project.

Sangyoung added, that the founder of Pearl Abyss and executive producer of DokeV, Daeil kim, has an especially high level of demand when it comes to the details and quality of the game, always looking for a way to include the latest technologies.
“In the early stages of development, we tried to go for an animation-like design,” continued Sangyoung. “But it seemed to us that it did not bring that kind of novelty, and with a game environment realisticwe can look for a finer quality of detail. “

The studio hopes that these efforts will produce even better graphics, without neglecting the gameplay that the title will offer. We saw the result of this work for the last time in the Gamescom 2021 trailer, where the arrival of the title to consoles, in addition to the already announced version for PC.
