Is it right to oblige workers to have the green pass? Pietrangelo Buttafuoco and Marco Revelli answer five questions on the new rules introduced by the government to stem the Covid-19 pandemic and facilitate the return to the workplace.
Does the obligation of green pass for workers limit the constitutional right to work?
PIETRANGELO BUTTAFUOCO “In most cases – I also speak from my work experience – the green pass is not enough: I always have to accompany it to the tampon. So what’s the point? So it is only a bureaucratic paperwork which, together with the right to work, also damages patience ”.
MARCO REVELLI: “No, the obligation of the green pass is a protection for the workers themselves. Those who do not get vaccinated fail to take care of themselves and others, but can continue to work by undergoing tampons every two days ”.
Would the government have done better to make the vaccine mandatory?
BUTTAFUOCO: “It would have been a quick take on responsibility. Like the one that older people like me have known through the military obligation: we were syringed without having information or even giving our assent ”.
REVELLI: “The compulsory vaccine option is more than legitimate and does not conflict with the Constitution: there are already many compulsory vaccines. The green pass is one more option that has been given to those who are refractory to vaccination ”.
