We had the chance to see a snippet of Dragon Age: The Veilguard during the recent Xbox presentation. The role-playing game will allow you to take on the role of a new character, as is typical for the saga, called Rook.
In the trailer it was possible to see it in human version, but does this mean that we will be forced to use the character of that race in our game? Fortunately no.
Details about the protagonist and allies in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
According to tweets from BioWare’s Mike Gamble, it’s possible choose the breed of our Rook, between Human, Elf, Dwarf or Qunari. Another piece of information received from Gamble is the confirmation of the possibility of changing the armor of our character’s companions, an important feature for fans.
The first trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, shown during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase, introduced all seven companions of our protagonist:
- Bellara, a creative and romantic Veil Jumper obsessed with discovering ancient secrets.
- Davrin, a bold and charming Gray Warden who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter.
- Emmrich, a necromancer of Nevarra’s Mourning Guard with a skeletal assistant, Manfred.
- Harding, the dwarven explorer, a companion with a big heart, a good dose of optimism and a ready bow, as well as unexpected magical powers.
- Lucanis, a pragmatic assassin descended from the lineage of the House of Ravens, a criminal organization renowned throughout Thedas.
- Snow, a cynic fighting for a better future, both as a private detective and as a member of the rebellious Shadow Dragons of Tevinter.
- Taash, a dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune who lives for adventure and doesn’t mind taking risks.
