After the recent release of the first teaser trailer, Marvel has recently updated the official Japanese page of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, inserting the official synopsis, which reveals a much greater danger than expected. While it’s not yet possible to have a date for the first trailer, the updated synopsis may hint at the happenings within the anticipated film.
Recently the new poster of the film had anticipated the variants of the same Strange and Wanda, while now comes the official synopsis confirming the presence of an even more dangerous entity, which ties into the recent Spider-Man movie. Apparently, in fact, the famous spell at the center of the film has opened the doors to something dangerous and unpredictable.
The synopsis, translated into Italian from Japanese, is therefore the following:
Doctor Strange is a genius surgeon and the most powerful sorcerer in the world. The most dangerous of his spells, which allows him to manipulate time and space at will, is a forbidden spell that opens the door to a mysterious madness known as the Multiverse. Strange turns to Wanda, Scarlet Witch, a powerful force that once threatened the Avengers, to help him restore a world where everything is changing. But a terrible threat hangs over humanity and the entire universe, a threat that their powers alone can no longer control. And to make matters worse, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange …
The official update of the page dedicated to the film sIt therefore appears to confirm the hypotheses regarding the possibility of seeing an evil Doctor Strange, as it was already possible to see inside the trailer. The spell in question seems to refer to the one that appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which brought villains from other realities to Peter Parker.
The synopsis of the new film dedicated to Doctor Strange it therefore seems to confirm the hypotheses regarding the actual introduction of the multiverse, a concept that could completely change the way various movies and TV series are viewed. As indeed happened already in Spider-Man: No Way Home, characters can come from other universes, including evil versions.
This concept had already been partially anticipated on the series Loki, where is it variants of the famous god of deception were introduced, which led to the change of a balance that had existed for some time.
