Mexico It is one of the preferred destinations for Colombians, both to travel for tourism and to live, work or study. Note that, for each case, the procedure and conditions of stay are different.

The simplest is for those who go on tourism, that is, for a stay of less than 180 days. In this case, Colombians do not need a visa, but they do need three key requirements.

The first of these is to have a valid and unexpired passport.

The second is to have a document called Multiple Immigration Form (FMM), a paper required by the Mexican authorities that can even be requested virtually. For more information about this document, do click here. This document will allow you to authorize entry for a stay of less than 180 days.
The third requirement is to have the means to verify and prove the reason for the trip (hotels, tickets, itineraries, etc.).
What is the FMM for Mexico?
According to the ‘Visas Mexico’ page, the FMM is a kind of ‘Tourist Card’ that allows Colombians to enter and stay in Mexico “as long as they are not going to do any kind of paid work” in that country.
“It is very important that Colombian citizens who travel to Mexico protect their Tourist Card since the immigration officials who check the documentation will request the FMM when leaving the country,” that page states.
To apply for this document online, your passport must be valid for no less than six months, you must have round-trip airline tickets, and a credit card to make the paper payment. Keep in mind that the FMM or tourist card is delivered to you within 24 to 48 hours.
