Do it yourself! Apple puts repair kits for the iPhone 16 on sale

iPhone 16 replacement parts are now part of Apple’s DIY repair program: the service dedicated to those who want to try their luck replacing defective components, or those that do not work correctly, by accessing the hardwarethe official tools and manuals of the Cupertino company.

The incorporation was expected in recent weeks given that nearly two months have already passed since the announcement of the new iPhone family in the traditional September Keynote.

Original components and official manuals

Apple’s “Do It Yourself” repair program provides access to a list of certified components that can be obtained from the comfort of home along with manuals and, if desired, tools to facilitate the procedure. It is aimed at those who have some experience and want to take responsibility for operations not suitable for the majority of the general public, as an alternative to official or authorized service centers spread throughout the territory. There is an official website as a starting point, however, this is only available in the US, UK, Spain and other European countries.

• Battery (with screw kit): 108.99 euros (about $116) for iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, 135.01 euros (about $144) for iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.
• Bottom speaker (with screw kit): 77.48 euros (about 83 dollars) for all models.
• Camera (with screw kit): 198.99 euros (about $212) for iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, 299 euros (about $318) for iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max.
• Screen (with screw kit): 322.05 euros (about $343) for iPhone 16, 384.75 euros (about $410) for iPhone 16 Plus; 405 euros (about $431) for iPhone 15 Pro and 489 euros (about $520) for iPhone 16 Pro Max.

It is possible to rent the kit with the official tools to repair the iPhone 16, the price for a period of 7 days is 56.12 euros (about 60 dollars). If you want to purchase multiple bits for the universal screwdriver, prices start at $9. Remember that prices may vary depending on the region and the exchange rate.
