Stellantis: Tavares, Peugeot will no longer sponsor Djokovic
Peugeot will no longer sponsor Novak Djokovic. The news was given by the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, meeting with reporters prior to the presentation of the group’s long-term strategic plan. The partnership between Peugeot and Djokovic, who was excluded from the 2022 Australian Open in January because he was not vaccinated, began in 2014.
in the meantime Djokovic separates from his historic coach Marjan Vajda, to which he had been linked since 2006 – except for a short break – and who had led him in all 20 Grand Slams won by the Serbian tennis player. The 57-year-old Vajda had been joined since 2019 by Goran Ivanisevic which allowed him to spend more time with his family (as requested by him). Goodbye now. The team that follows Djokovic remains unchanged in the rest of the team: that is the Italian physical trainer Marco Panichi and the physiotherapists Ulises Badio and Miljan Amanovic.
