Sinaloa.- The displaced people from different communities of the rural south of the state they occupy the houses that no one wanted to inhabit in the Santa Fe subdivision, in Mazatlan. However, this has also generated fear among the neighbors.

On Santa Elena street were the majority of abandoned houses; now there are about 4 or 5 that are not inhabited.

“Empty houses are hardly seen anymore because people come from different ranches and get involved, the problem is that we don’t know what kind of problems they are involved in,” said Elvira Mendoza.
The inhabitants mentioned that they understand the need that exists in some families and they have to look for a shelter for their children, but what they are looking for is that no one in the subdivision is put at risk. The people who arrive in Santa Fe prepare the houses.
Some spaces no longer have doors or windows, they repair them themselves and put drywall or wood instead. Little by little they give shape to the constructions, until they are habitable again.

The mothers of families argued what the best option is the sale of abandoned homes.
Aware of the critical situation, they pointed out that it be given at a good price, or to be verified what the new owners are trustworthythis will provide greater protection to all the people who live in the mentioned place.
“I have lived here for 22 years, before you did not see much of these cases of people coming to invade houses, they must be sold cheaply and to good people,” said the Santa Fe resident.
