Not only among the debater family, but throughout the journalistic union of Sinaloa and the country there is consternation for the murder of fellow journalist Luis Enrique Ramírez, and although his loss is irreparable, as is that of all human lives, the least What is required of the authorities is that they solve the crime and punish the criminals. Do not go unpunished.
Immediately yesterday, fellow journalists from organizations in Culiacán and from all over the state came out to demonstrate massively, to show solidarity with the family of Luis Enrique and above all to demand justice, that not a single journalist be killed by bullets the murderers, that there be security for the free exercise of journalism because Mexico has already become the most dangerous country for communicators. There are no excuses, we want results.
The night before last, Governor Rubén Rocha himself went out to give a message to the people of Sinaloa and promised that justice would be done, he even said that he was doubly obliged because he remembered that Luis Enrique was his chief of press when he competed for the governorship for the PRD in 1998. The Attorney General’s Office attracted the case and even President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked Rocha to clarify it.
I met Luis Enrique precisely on those dates, when he was young and knocked on doors in the newsrooms to get spaces for the candidate. Later we coincided in the late nights in the Culiacán newsroom, when with his spirit of solidarity and the simplicity that characterized him he offered additional information to the reporters that they needed to close the edition.
How is it possible that human life is worth nothing, that the day before yesterday Luis Enrique was with us and with their families and now he is gone? No one knows what were the reasons why he was murdered, possibly that settling of accounts in 2011 reached him when he had to flee Sinaloa and took refuge in Mexico City, after they killed Humberto Millán and Luis Pérez, and he sensed and He said he was the one to follow.
He was confident now, his guard down, and he felt safe; he lost that, but who would have known, nobody knows the dark mind and the actions of criminals; Possibly they only did it to embarrass the government, to destabilize. Hopefully the killers are found and all these questions are cleared up.
Potpourri. There is no doubt, this six-year term does not look good for the big businessmen: yesterday they confirmed a Sinaloan businessman, who had a lot of influence and economic and political power in past governments, who for the moment remains in jail, after having been arrested in Guadalajara last week; and now it is Alejandro Valle, the majority shareholder of the Interjet airline, who is going to prison again, now accused of domestic violence.
He had already been imprisoned last year accused of generic fraud for 50 million dollars. Airports should be turned around, because that is where they are falling.
“I am doubly obliged to clarify the murder”, Governor Rubén Rocha
