Following the narrative structured on eight missions, you will have the opportunity to impersonate Vikings and Anglo-Saxons of the time, taking part in their adventures set in the ninth century. These tales will take the player through the snowy wastes of Norway, the magnificent landscapes of England and the mythical realms of Jotunheim and Asgard.
“The Viking era is rich and complex and we absolutely wanted to highlight it through a Discovery Tour“explains Maxime Durand, World Design Director of Ubisoft Montréal.”With the new approach, players find themselves at the center of a unique interactive experience, where they see the story as it is written through the eyes of the people of the time. We designed Discovery Tour: Viking Age to be a fun video game and an effective learning tool“.
Discovery Tour: Viking Age challenges fans of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with 11 exclusive rewards to unlock in the main game, 25 behind-the-scenes development stations in the main game, and 24 explorer characters. Aware of the fact that professors and students may not be familiar with the video game and with the best way to use it in an educational context, Ubisoft has developed guides that offer personalized activities and educational plans based on the curriculum and the level of the students, in collaboration with Montréal McGill University and with the collaboration of Mitacs.
