Last year we had our first trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroand immediately, the fans noticed that this next film will be using a completely different level of animation than what we saw in DBS: Broland. Now, the director of this feature film has talked about this new animation and how he will use computer generated images to improve it.
Tetsuro Kodama, director of superhero, was present at a recent presentation where he talked about this animation, as well as some of the challenges that come when working on it. In Kodama’s own words:
“In my case, I don’t know what it could be, but maybe a feeling of pressure? I’m not the kind of person who normally feels those things, but lately, my eyes have been twitching.
It’s also important to mention that we grew up in the middle of the Dragon Ball generation and since then, the fandom has gotten bigger and bigger until it’s become this gigantic phenomenon. But we have a mission to break new ground and help cultivate new fans. So what kind of animation would help us achieve that goal? That is where our project started.”
And is that some fans are not happy that superhero You may need to use computer generated images for your new animation style, since as we have seen before, this mix does not always give favorable results. But for all the progress we’ve seen from superheroit seems that the community has nothing to worry about.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero arrives in theaters Japan on April 22, 2022.
Publisher’s note: Beyond the story and the new characters, another of the things that excites me the most about Super Hero is precisely this new animation. DBS: Broly did an amazing job with her, and I think this new movie will surprise us even more.
