King Felipe VI pronounces his speech tonight starting at 9 p.m. traditional Christmas Eve speechwith which he annually accompanies the Spaniards on such an important date. And on this occasion he does so, furthermore, in a year in which the monarch celebrates the tenth anniversary of his proclamation.
His speech comes after a complicated 2024, marked above all by the DANA tragedy, which has left 231 deaths in all of Spain (223 in the Valencian Community, 7 in Castilla La Mancha and 1 in Andalusia), but also due to the problems of Spaniards in accessing housing and the multiple elections, as well as political polarization and clashes over immigration .
