Dina Averina on Thursday, October 28, became the world champion in rhythmic gymnastics in exercises with clubs. For the Russian woman, this is already the 16th highest award at the world championships.
On October 27, Averina won gold at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in the ball exercise and became the 15-time world champion, gaining 29.125 points. Second place went to Arina Averina with 27.675 points. The third place was taken by the Belarusian Alina Gornosko (27,300 points).
Shortly before that, competitions in the exercise with a hoop took place, where Dina Averina also took gold. Her sister Arina lost a shell and did not make it into the top three finalists.
In June, the sisters won gold and bronze medals at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Varna, Bulgaria in the ribbon exercise. Dina Averina excelled with a score of 24,700 points. Arina scored 22,600 points, becoming a bronze medalist.
