Dimayor modified the number of substitutions allowed in matches

The Dimayor, in a special meeting of clubs, this Thursday morning, decided to modify the number of changes that were allowed in the matches.

Initially it was approved that there were 3 substitutions allowed, but now it has been extended to 5 substitutions in matches.

Changes due to covid

In addition, the Dimayor approved that it will go from 5 to 7 players who can be on the substitute bench, another measure to help clubs manage their payroll and matches.

These measures are adopted to mitigate the impact of the covid-19 in the different clubs, due to the increase in infections and anticipating that the situation may be more complex at the start of the championship.

Calendar of Dimayor competitions:

League I: It will start on January 22 and end on June 26.

League II: It will start on July 3 and end on November 16.

Copa Colombia: From February 9 to October 12

Superliga: Final first leg – February 9. Lap Final – February 23

Tournament I: From January 22 to June 15

Tournament II: Will start on July 2 and end on October 29
