Two independent studies in Germany and the UK have found that some variants can be hidden in different parts of the bodywhich would make it difficult to completely eliminate it from the body.
Although infections and serious cases of Covid-19 are decreasing considerably due to vaccination, scientists continue studying the behavior of the virus.

The investigations were published in the journal Nature Communications. The studies were led by Imre Berger of the University of Bristol, UK, and Joachim Spatz of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg, Germany, showing that the virus can evolve in the different cells of the body and adapt its immunity to the same infected host.
Berger said that a number of new variants have replaced Omicron and Omicron 2 and an early variant has been tested in Bristol, called BrisDelta, which by then had changed form from the original virus, but the pocket we had discovered was there, unchanged. ”.
These results indicate that different virus variants can be harbored in different parts of the body and these they can use kidney or spleen cells to hide whilethe body deals with eliminating the dominant virus.
The scientists say it appears that this pocket, built specifically to recognize these fatty acids, gives SARS-CoV-2 an advantage inside the body of infected people, allowing it to multiply so quickly.
