Herbert Diess, group administrator Volkswagen, continues to study as a novice Elon Musk in terms of social engagement. But unlike Tesla’s founder, he’s more of a da guy LinkedIn that gives Twitter. Obviously Diess isn’t looking for a job somewhere else, but rather is on the business man’s favorite platform to continue promoting the Wolfsburg-based manufacturer’s electric effort.
The last post is a selfie, taken in an idyllic hilly landscape in Austria, in the company of the electric car ID.3. It is not the first time that Diess has shown himself in the ‘test’ of the car on which the brand is focusing the most to popularize rechargeable battery mobility. This time, unlike older experiences, everything went well.
“I am really happy to see so many customers on LinkedIn who tell about their travels on the electric cars of the Volkswagen brand. Traveling with these cars in tourist regions is really rewarding: you are always welcome and do not disturb emissions and noise. Last weekend I traveled from Tyrol to the hills of Styria, Austria, for a 400km trip without recharging. Upon returning after the night, I was promised that I would find a proper charging station, and so it was: on the 530-kilometer route to Munich I stopped at the Mondsee IONITY station. A nice experience: the scenery of the lake was enchanting, all the columns worked. I drank a coffee and after 20 minutes I was back on the street“Wrote Diess.
A few days earlier, also on LinkedIn, Diess had quoted an article by Autozeitung according to which a combustion car currently costs 50% compared to an electric one. “Driving a Tiguan costs 30% more, per kilometer, than an ID.4; an Audi Q5 costs 40% more than a Q4 e-tron; a Skoda Kodiaq reaches 50% more per kilometer than an Enyaq. In short, it is time for a change“, had written.
