Diego Santilli will formalize his launch as a candidate for national deputy for the province of Buenos Aires in an act in La Plata, accompanied by a good part of the structure of Together for Change, with the head of the Buenos Aires government Horacio Rodríguez Larreta as the main reference, but also with the presence of mayors of space in the suburbs and leaders of the other forces that make up the coalition.
The Equestrian Club of La Plata will be the stage chosen for Santilli to appear with who will be his second on the ballot, Graciela Ocaña. Under the slogan “It’s Together” And after the campaign in networks alluding, photo through, to his reddish hair color, the current deputy head of the City Government will seek to show himself as the main candidate of Together for Change in the Province, where he will go to the STEP against the radical Facundo Manes. The macrista mayor Julio Garro will act as host.
The act will be starting at 12.30 pm and will be broadcast live on YouTube. Santilli, as the leader of the list, is expected to be the main speaker, although they will also speak Rodríguez Larreta, Ocaña, Patricia Bullrich, Elisa Carrió, Miguel Ángel Pichetto and Jorge Macri. In addition there will be Garro, the mayor of Lanús, Néstor Grindetti -head of the campaign-, and that of Tres de Febrero, Diego Valenzuela.
The pre-launch was with a curious campaign that went viral on networks and that had the main references of Juntos por el Cambio tweeting the hashtag “EsJuntos” along with a photo of Santilli’s red hair. Although no direct mention was made of him, it was a sign of support for his candidacy that was accompanied, among others, by Rodríguez Larreta, Carrió and even former President Mauricio Macri, from Switzerland. Not so, for example, Bullrich, who did not tweet all day.
As a source commented to Clarion, with the Santilli hair campaign it was sought to install in society “a topic of conversation” for the elections, with a mixture of “humor and symbolism, something non-traditional”. “The ‘Colo’ gives us closeness and empathy at a time when people are very warm with the provincial and national governments,” they explained.
What they called the “traditional campaign” will be today’s event, in which the team will be presented, as a kind of kickoff that will have as a clear focus the putting on the table of a proposal radically opposed to that of the political adversary. From the discursive, it will be sought to mark that “opposite is Kirchnerism” and it will delve into how the national and provincial government dealt with the economic and health crisis. Pure Crack, with Alberto Fernández and Axel Kicillof as recipients.
Specific mentions to the intern are not expected which will take place in the PASO within the opposition space in Buenos Aires territory, with Facundo Manes as a candidate for national deputy for the Radical Civic Union, supported by allies identified with Buenos Aires Peronism such as Emilio Monzó and Joaquín de la Torre. “This is not between us, but against the one who is opposite,” said sources of Santillismo.

The list will have representatives of all the spaces that make up the opposition arch. It will be led by Santilli, who will be seconded by Ocaña. Third and fourth will go two representatives of the Civic Coalition of Carrió: Juan Manuel Lopez Y Marcela campagnoli. Fifth Gerardo Milman, which responds to Patricia Bullrich; sixth Natalia Villa, close to Jorge Macri; and seventh Hernan Lombardi, direct line with Mauricio Macri.
The preliminary assembly of the Buenos Aires formula was not easy and he was tied to what happened with the space in the Buenos Aires area. From the beginning, Mauricio Macri sought that the former Buenos Aires governor María Eugenia Vidal was the one to lead the ballot. But Vidal refused and, after conclaves with Rodríguez Larreta and Macri, her decision and the position of the Buenos Aires head of government prevailed for her to head the list in the City.
In Buenos Aires territory larretismo has been installing Santilli as a candidate since the beginning of the year, despite the discomfort of a majority sector of radicalism, which is what drives Manes to be a deputy and the initial differences with Jorge Macri, who sought to compete as the head of a third list.
But last week a general agreement was reached and, distribution through candidatures for each sector, Santilli was chosen as a candidate for a space that, under the slogan of “It’s Together”, it will officially take to the field starting this Thursday, within 72 hours of the closing of lists.
