When Cyberpunk 2077 launched, it was argued that quality control simply did not catch all the bugs that players encountered in the game.
At the time, it seemed decidedly odd, given the magnitude and scope of the bugs, but apparently there could be some truth and it is a potentially unbelievable story.
A 72-page document was sent by a whistleblower to YouTuber Upper Echelon Gamers, who has previously reported on Cyberpunk issues. The document focuses on Quantic Labsa QA company that has done a large number of tests on Cyberpunk 2077.
Apparently, Quantic Lab would have enlarged the size of its team it worked at Cyberpunk 2077 to keep the contract. The company allegedly stated that the team was made up of senior staff, but instead were young people with less than six months of QA experience. Quantic Lab would have a daily quota of bugs to report without priority criteria, which resulted in CDPR receiving thousands of relatively useless bug reports from testers, which were time-consuming and caused the game’s most serious problems to fail. were identified or were not considered a priority.
If this turns out to be true, it could be at least a partial explanation for what happened with Cyberpunk at launch.
