The agency explained that between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. there would be occasional heavy showers and rains, as well as winds with gusts between 50 to 70 km/h in the north, central-peripheral, metropolitan area of Monterrey, citrus and south. of the state.
Conagua even warned that the winds would have the intensity necessary to knock down trees and advertising signs. Likewise, he explained that in the state, as in Coahuila and Tamaulipas, the necessary conditions for the possible formation of tornadoes and whirlwinds would arise from this Wednesday night and throughout Thursday.
These conditions are due to the interaction of a dry line with the subtropical jet stream and a frontal system located in the southern United States.
It is worth mentioning that the bad weather was present in the municipality of San Pedro de los Garza García, where the wind collapsed the temple where the candidate Máynez was located. This incident claimed the lives of five people and nearly 50 people were injured, according to information released by Governor Samuel García.
