The Minister of Science and Innovation accuses the Executive of López Miras of “not facing the problems of the Mar Menor” during the closure in Molina of the Municipal Convention of Socialist Youth of Spain
«The people of Murcia urgently need a socialist government. If it were not for the central Executive, Murcia today would be abandoned to their fate,” the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, remarked this Sunday during the closing ceremony of the Municipal Convention of Socialist Youth of Spain, which took place in the center Las Balsas de Molina de Segura.
The minister emphasized the situation of the Mar Menor, stressing that “the source problem must be solved and not deny the scientific evidence.” She stated that “the problem is that more organic matter is arriving because of fertilizers and illegal plantations. The farmers who are doing their job well need to fight against illegal agriculture, but Mr. López Miras does not do it and we will have to ask him what interests he has behind or why he does not face these problems ».
«This is not only an environmental problem, but also a tourist, economic and social one; It is an example of how problems are not addressed,” Moran said. He recalled that the powers to solve the situation of the Mar Menor belong to the regional government, “but the one who is really acting is the Government of Spain, which has allocated 500 million” to the recovery of the salty lagoon. Accompanied by the general secretary of the PSRM, José Vélez, and the mayor of Molina, Eliseo García, Diana Morant also toured the various measures implemented by the Pedro Sánchez government “to protect and advance citizens in all regions ».
PP cuts
The minister recalled that “the PP voted against the labor reform that has converted half of the contracts from temporary to permanent.” And she also indicated that “pensioners earn an average of 1,500 euros per year more compared to the recipe that the PP applies wherever it governs, which are cuts, and we must not forget that they voted against the increase in pensions.”
Morant listed other measures, such as free local and medium-distance transport, which “represents an average of 2,500 euros less spending for families. We could list a huge number of solutions that we have provided from the Government of Spain, always with the contrary vote of the PP », he remarked. And in similar terms, the general secretary of the PSRM and delegate of the Government in the Region, José Vélez, spoke before. “We could be talking for hours about the cultural bonus, the expansion of the Minimum Interprofessional Wage, the increase in scholarships, rental aid, the labor reform and so many policies thinking of young people and people,” he said. Vélez pointed out that “if it were not for the Government of Spain, the Region would be going through a dramatic situation.”
Moments before, the mayor and general secretary of the PSOE of Molina, Eliseo García, thanked the minister for the visit to the municipality to close a convention of the JJSS of Spain, which was held for the first time in the Region. The socialist leaders were accompanied by Víctor Camino, general secretary of Youth of Spain, and Miguel Ortega, general secretary of Socialist Youth of the Region.
