Ciudad Juarez.- The General Directorate of Planning and Evaluation launched an invitation to the general population to participate in “Dialogues for Change in Juárez,” through which citizens will be able to express what changes they want to see made in Ciudad Juárez.
Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar reported that the Municipal Development Plan was created based on citizen participation and was recognized at the national level by the Ministry of the Interior through Inafed, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Chihuahua Institute of Transparency and Access to Public Information.
Now, he added, in the preparation of the Municipal Development Plan 2024-2027, all voices that want a change in Juárez will be heard.
Emilio Flores, head of Planning and Evaluation, said that during the month of October, proposals will be considered on what people want to improve this border and for this purpose a broad citizen consultation will be carried out.
He explained that at the beginning of each administration, the municipal government must prepare the Municipal Development Plan, for which the strategic axes “Juárez humanist and for women”, “Juárez leader and innovator”, “Juárez honest and inclusive government”, “Juárez orderly and sustainable” and “Juárez safe and reliable city” will be implemented.
The general public is welcome to participate in the call for proposals, and this year children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 are also encouraged to participate, as they have a very different vision of their city compared to the analysis made by adults.
Projects can be sent to the email address www.dialogosjuarez.com, or to physical mailboxes that will be placed in community centers and at citizen participation meetings.
The information collected will allow us to know what people want to see happen in the next three years, so there will be wide dissemination through billboards and the media, and information banners will be placed in city parks so that the largest number of Juarez residents can participate.
The mayor added that it is important to register broad participation so that the people of Juarez can say what they want the municipal administration to focus on in its 2024-2027 work.
