May 14th will mark the arrival of a major update for Diablo IV, which will inaugurate Season 4: Renewed Loot, introducing a series of significant changes intended to enrich the gaming experience. The heart of the update lies in a complete overhaul of the object interaction system. The developers have simplified the choice and customization of the inventory, making the upgrade system more accessible. The new “Fortitude” system allows players to add random power ups to items via recipes obtainable throughout the world of Sanctuary, thus increasing the customization and effectiveness of equipment.
Another significant introduction is the revamped Codex of Power, now more interactive and useful, which records every Legendary item found, allowing players to select the best version of each Legendary for their loadout without having to physically store the item. Season 4 also introduces “greater affixes,” a new category of affixes available as ancestral loot at World Level 4, offering higher values than regular affixes. Additionally, the “Refinement” process allows you to further enhance an item’s affixes, ideal for those players looking to maximize their build.
The “Pit” represents a new challenge awaiting anyone who has completed Diablo IV, where players can test out their optimized builds and unlock rare resources to further enhance their gear. At the same time, the Infernal Tide has been enriched with new activities and encounters with more challenging enemies, including the Infernogens, powerful fallen heroes of Sanctuary now allied with demons. Players will also be able to participate in the “Cursed Rituals”, intense battles in sequence until they face the Lady of Blood, a new mini boss who represents the definitive challenge of the Infernal Tide. By joining the Iron Wolves, a new faction introduced this season, players will be able to accumulate honor by participating in the “Call of the Wolves” seasonal activity. Honor earned will unlock access to exclusive rewards that will further enhance players’ seasonal journey.
